EXTREMUS DOG TRAINING
Extremus Dog Training was founded by Darren Priddle and Jacqui Law who, for over 30 years, have had extensive experience in working with and training dogs.
It has been proven that there are both numerous physical and mental benefits to owning and living with a dog, and at Extremus Dog Training, we want to expand upon this, so that not only do you enjoy owning a dog, but a well trained one at that. We aim to be in a position where we are renowned for breeding and effectively training dogs to a consistently high standard.
We have an unprecedented passion for dogs – literally, we live and breathe dogs, they are the reason we get up in the morning, and the reason we do what we do, this ethos and level of care and understanding goes into every dog that we meet, work with and care for.
DARREN PRIDDLE
I have always had a great affinity with dogs, even from a very early age. From this, I decided to do something about my gift and started to work with dogs professionally.
Growing up in a military family naturally led me into the Security Industry, as a working dog handler, where I was taught how to handle, train and keep licensed security dogs. To further broaden and develop my skills I joined a large working kennel in South Wales, where I was employed for over three years. During this time, I managed training of all the company’s dogs, the kennel system and the training of all staff.
It was during this time I decided that my end goal and ultimate dream was to own and manage my own dog training company, and in 2013 Extremus was born.

I grew up from an early age into a family who both bred and raised show dogs, and had my first personal protection dog, Sasha, a German Shepherd, at the age of 3. Growing up on a smallholding surrounded by various breeds of animals has nurtured my undying passion for all animals, especially dogs. As an adult raising my three children alongside raising and hand rearing various types of parrots, I achieved great experience and knowledge of animals and their behaviour. I also had great delight in training Bella an American bulldog who was my first experience of working with a deaf dog which I trained in sign language to lead a full and active life.
Due to my greater understanding of animals, I decided to further my knowledge and pursue my interests by undertaking a Degree in Animal Science, specialising in areas such as welfare, behaviour, anatomy and physiology, as well as including aspects of anthrozoology, breeding and genetics. I continue to specialise in both behaviour and welfare as well as progressing my understanding of dogs.
My previous experience includes a two year full time post at a large training kennel, which I managed alongside my degree. During this post, I was promoted to Health and Well-Being Supervisor for over 40 dogs, as well as assisting with the running of the weekend training classes. I also work as a part time lecturer at Coleg Sir Gar, Carmarthenshire, where I lecture in Animal Science.
